Solo traveler getaway that hits the mark
Had myself a lovely cozy double room upgrade, thankyou. Breakfast was also fresh and warm, got extra bacon, can't complain about that.
While it wasn't exactly a bargain, it was still within reason for what I experienced.

The hotel is charming, clean, and well-decorated, with a lovely courtyard and easy access to downtown. I loved the cozy feel of my spacious room and the unique decor touches throughout the hotel. The bar had a great vibe, and I appreciated the nearby dining options for variety.

Spotless, nicely appointed hotel built in a historic style. Wonderfully helpful employees on our request. Comfortable bed, brand-new room with a nice view over the gardens. Coffee, air conditioner and a lounge - very useful. Incredibly comfortable and easy location walking distance to a railroad station and main sights...

The room was quite cozy, but we encountered challenges with the shower's temperature control, which left my husband with burns. However, the outdoor seating area was a lovely retreat for relaxation.

A very pleasant stay in the hotel's new wing, which suited us well.
Being elderly, we found it a little further out of the hub than we would have liked.

Very central location just a few minutes walk from main attractions of York yet set in quiet spot with small swimming pool, sauna gym and beauty treatments available. Free parking too! Lovely breakfast and good reasonably priced dinner.Would recommend.Nice bar and lovely gardens.
I had booked swim in advance and received confirmation but the gym attendant was not aware of the booking. Feel desk staff not consistent and not all were fully guest focussed. Room for improvement on the desk although general polite and helpful service.

Location
Hotel was quite average, nothing to recommend to your friends. Moreover stuff in a reception was very bossy and rude so you could even feel that you are not really welcome there. I do not wish anyone to have such unpleasant times while holidays.
